"THE HALFWAY HOUSE" SELLS AT THE
FILM MARKET IN CANNES
May, 2004

We hadn't begun pre-production on our first movie this time last year so it there was no way of knowing then that the finished movie would be selling at this year's international film market in Cannes, France.

Most people think of the major festival that occurs here at this time. This is where locals strain to get a glimpse of Brad Pitt as he crosses the red carpet or plead for tickets to screenings of hot titles like TROY and KILL BILL II.

Inside the Palais, away from the glitz and glamor, independent films from all over the world are bought and sold.

It was here the buyers got their first look at THE HALFWAY HOUSE - "the little indie horror film that could." Representing the film for foreign sales is Tony Kandah of Hollywood Wizard, an aggressive new sales company who, like BV Entertainment, will become a major player in the near future.
