NUNS PROTEST "HALFWAY HOUSE" SCREENING
AT VALLEY FILM FESTIVAL
December 17, 2004

We were happy to be invited to screen at the 4th Annual Valley Film Festival held at the El Portal Theatre In North Hollywood, espcially since we are located so close to the NoHo Arts District. Our only concern was we'd already had a local screening recently (see photos) and knew a lot of our cast and crew wouldn't be able to attend.

The solution: Stage a publicity stunt worthy of the late, great William Castle. About an hour before the show, a pair of nuns showed up outside the theatre with picket signs. Traffic slowed on Lankershim Boulevard as "Sister Sarah" and "Sister Tawnya" marched up and down in protest.

No one took the incident seriously and the gimmick helped put the audience in the right frame of mind for THE HALFWAY HOUSE.

BV Entertainment thanks Tracey Adlai, Paul Hough, Ilja von Nagel, and the volunteers at The Valley Film Festival for putting on an event that was fun and full of networking opportunities right in our own neighborhood! We hope to be involved again next year.
